Wagehe Raufi
Falten
24.10. - 28.11.25
Under the title Falten, Wagehe Raufi presents in the G10 Projektraum works whose amorphous forms are marked by fractures, gaps, and voids. Her objects are snapshots of a gradual loss of control over materiality, the body, as well as belonging and orientation. They encapsulate the search for a secure standpoint, for a place that promises stability yet repeatedly eludes us, never offering solid ground.
The wall objects on display are created through a process in which the artist builds her pieces layer by layer. They consist of superimposed materials such as plastic particles, agar-agar, ink, and pigments. As they dry, these substances change their state, forming cracks, folds and crusts – visible traces of a transformation. The solidified, uneven surfaces evoke organic processes, healing wounds or earthy, land-like structures. These transitions reveal a moment of agency – a kind of self-activity of the materials – that transcends the boundaries between solid and liquid and opposes the supposed passivity of matter. From the undersides of the works hang cotton threads reminiscent of carpet fringes. They create a dynamic tension between fabric and growth, between a constructed and a seemingly organic surface.
The other objects on display depict concrete objects or living beings. Ceramic rats sit next to the entrance door. Beside them are rows of imprints of pointed shoes with small heels, which seem to exist only as outer shells. They look like slowly decaying, empty vessels – like casts of outworn shoes. Similarly deflated appears the skin of a stool that Raufi replicated using several layers of fine mesh gauze and agar-agar. Without a supporting framework; without a skeleton, the former stool stretches its legs out on the floor.
Viewers are invited to reorient themselves. Their standpoint, like the nature of the objects, is fluid, in flux. What can we still held onto in an ever-faster changing world? Raufi's works respond to this question with quiet openness, acting as points of orientation. Falten opens up a space of ambivalence between vulnerability and resistance. It is a quiet reflection on what remains when structures crumble and certainties dissolve – or begin to shift.

Nassim L'Ghoul
Soliloquy
24.10. - 28.11.25
In R15, Nassim L'Ghoul's work Soliloquy transports us into a dreamlike, 3D-modelled world. In this video, everyday observations and autobiographical experiences flow into one another and intertwine to form new narratives. The individual elements are completely stripped of their original colour and texture and appear smooth, without any tactile quality – as if their surfaces had been dipped in milk. L'Ghoul models his figures himself, but also makes use of found material, which he transforms for his 3D applications with the help of algorithms.
The barren landscape in Soliloquy, within which a surreal scene unfolds, feels both gentle and unsettling: under a sleeping sun, a person writes a letter that a floating telephone sees but does not answer. In the animation, lifeless objects are brought to life and given personified features – mouths, faces, movements. They enter into a silent dialogue, their interaction moving between poetic suggestion and digital construction.
Nassim L’Ghoul (*1997 in Bad Soden, Germany) has been studying at the Slade School of Fine Art in London since 2024. He previously completed his studies in Fine Arts at the Hochschule für Gestaltung in Offenbach. His works have been included in several group and solo exhibitions, among them Tagli, London (2025); Koppel Annex, London (2025); Studio Hannibal, Berlin (2024); Olympiapark, Munich (2023); Eigen + Art Lab, Berlin (2023); sassfee pavillon, Frankfurt (2023); and Frankfurter Kunstverein (2023 & 2021).
